MCU: Marvel Cinematic Universe
DCEU: DC Extended Universe

Marvel movies and shows are the most anticipated things to watch more than ever. Wanda Vision felt like a movie I never wanted to end and then a week later we were met with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
This is a fairly new concept of putting out this type of content at a speed like this and being greeted with this type of success. Just go back in history and check out the popular film series: Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars. They all have devoted fans just like Marvel but something is different. This new and modern age of showcasing an alternate universe is what makes Marvel so eccentric.
It's crazy to think that a few years ago that Marvel and DC movies were on the same level of nuance and thrill. However, the people at Marvel have mastered the elegance of creating a cinematic experience deeper than imaginable. DCEU on the other hand has struggled to come up with a stable storyline and feels like they are 10 steps behind Marvel. Which is odd?
If you used to compare superheroes (individually) and comics (as a whole) most of the time society would side with DC because Superman and Batman are staples in the superhero community. One is from a strange planet who lives on Earth fighting creatures from strange plants who are trying to destroy Earth. Then there's "the rich man". The hero, that feels like a villain whose power is literally being rich. Nonetheless, one of the most iconic characters to date.
So, how did DC fall? Maybe it's the hunt of finding good actors to play these iconic roles. I mean look at Iron Man there isn't anyone more perfect for the role other than Robert Downey Jr where for Batman (a character similar to Iron Man) the twelfth adaptation of him is being produced as of right now. Or maybe the movies are too long and feel gloomy when watching. Or it could be the lack of character development due to there being so many renditions of these movies every other decade.
Don't get me wrong I love the Dark Knight and I totally see what the people at DC are trying to do. They don't just want to create a superhero movie without making it a meaningful one. I mean look at Joker, there's a point when watching this movie you say to yourself "Oh shoot this is based on a comic and not just a true story". They aren't just making these films for the young generation they're making this is for the original fans. But it isn't grasping through.
If DC likes the product that they are giving then let it be but if they want to please the fans maybe work a little harder to create a cinematic experience that doesn't take two tries to complete. Yea I'm talking about Zack Snyder's Cut.

Maybe it's selfish to want this sort of nostalgic and memorable cinematic experience. But when these comics are put on such a pedestal it doesn't feel too demanding. DCEU has a chance in bringing itself up with this new Zack Snyder movie and I hope they take it.
I mean your probably doing something wrong when a fan of DC watches a Justice League movie but then rather watch an Avenger movie right after.
